FAIRFIELD — There’s a plethora of festivals and special events in Solano County annually.
Some center on the county’s diversity celebrating Mexican, Filipino, black and German cultures, to name a few.
Others bring a taste of something different from candy and Italian food to bratwurst and tomatoes.
Local communities also offer a variety of ways to celebrate holidays, including lighted boat parades, decorated homes and a journey into the world of steampunk.
Many of the events are free.
